Includes twenty-six account books and diary, 1860-1947, containing records of expenses, helpful domestic hints, recipes, obituaries, poetry, and meditations; 2 volumes, ca. 1938, describing Van Wyck's childhood during the 1860s, at Oak Grove, a plantation near Anderson, S.C., owned by her grandmother Elvira Thompson Norris; and 2 scrapbooks, 1854-1889, kept by Van Wyck's older sister, Flora Keith Overman, containing pictures from publications and greeting cards, essays from newspapers, and obituaries of Confederate leaders and family members.
